ABOUT ABOUT

GOOD GRIEF Virtual Program

After countless disappointments in traditional group settings, a small non-traditional grief support group has emerged - offering a space for people to explore and express grief in their own ways. But when a new member shows up, the group is tested in unforeseen directions, causing everyone to re-examine their own parameters of grief, and of support. As we have lived into and through this bizarre season of pandemic and lockdown, grief has become more present, and this hilarious and touching story has become more relevant than ever!

Looking for Lilith Theatre Company’s first ever full-length virtual play will be this world premiere of Good Grief (a stage play, with music) by local playwright, composer and musician Erin Fitzgerald.  This production was originally slated to premiere March 19, 2020 at The Kentucky Center, but when the pandemic shut down theatre and so much more, Looking for Lilith had to pause, and then pivot. The artists involved in this production have since created this virtual version which will open on the one year anniversary of the original opening date. While the play is about grief, it explores the topic in a way that is comedic, clever, delightful, and deep, and is thus a welcome balm in these challenging times!
